To ensure your Nutcracker King maintains its high-gloss finish and structural integrity for years, follow these professional care guidelines:
Cleaning & Surface Care
- Routine Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe away dust or debris.
- Stubborn Spots: For bird droppings or tough stains, use a non-abrasive surface cleaner such as Formula 409 Glass & Surface.
- Important: Avoid harsh detergents or liquid cleaners not specifically mentioned, as these can dull the specialized UV-resistant urethane coating.
Outdoor Setup & Safety
- Wind Protection: Tether the figure to a secure post or wall using monofilament fishing line or flexible wire to prevent them from tipping in high winds.
- Ground Stability: Use the integrated mounting plate to bolt the figure to a flat surface.
- Winter Hazards: Do not allow the figure to stand in pools of water or remain frozen to the ground for extended periods, as this can stress the fiberglass base.
Off-Season Storage
- Preparation: Thoroughly clean and dry the figure before storing.
- Environment: Store in a clean, dry, climate-controlled location.
- Protection: Return the figure to its original shipping carton or wrap it securely in bubble wrap to prevent surface scratches.
Manufacturing Process
Our large outdoor fiberglass figures are manufactured using a unique 8 step molding process, similar to that used to make fiberglass boats. After the fiberglass has cured, it is sanded and painted using sunlight resistant paint. When the paint has dried the surface of the figure is sealed against the weather using clear urethane coating. All our large figures are designed and made for outdoor use. They will withstand all kinds of weather, including rain and snow.
